Animals escaped a wild animal preserve in Zanesville, Ohio after the owner of the preserve set the animals free and then killed himself. 49 animals were slaughtered, including 18 Bengal tigers, 17 lions, six black bears, a pair of grizzlies, three mountain lions, two wolves and a baboon.

Speaking as an Indonesian, I can attest that this problem is little known and very underrepresented in the national news, though the country actively exploits natural resources from Papua.
